From The Times (ná, un panfletillo británico de poco prestigio)

El año pasado podía acceder a mi localidad por multitud de puertas, este año sólo por 3. Se forman colas enormes y hay muchas puertas cerradas. ¿Paranoia o mobbing?

Nada nuevo bajo el Sol.

Hubo gente del Liverpool que entraron en el minuto 20 o más. Les tuvieron media hora esperando en una idiotez de pasillo entre policias.

Todo eso para lo que luego quedo de noche, sólo evidencia lo que decimos.

La organización para con los ingleses debió ser modélica, muy avanzado el encuentro seguian entrando seguidores de los reds a las gradas.

Lo mejor fue lo a gusto que bajamos de Pirámides al estadio, no vi ni un policia ni a pie ni a caballo. ¡Que tranquilidad!.

Destacar y agradecer, eso si su presencia en las bocanas de gradas y anfiteatros.

EL FINAL DE LOS GIL AUNQUE SE DIVISA LEJOS CADA DÍA ESTÁ UN POCO MÁS CERCA

 En el partido correspondiente a la UEFA el 25 de Octubre del año pasado entre Tottenham y Getafe, por problemas de tráfico, se retrasó 15 minutos el comienzo del partido. Habrá que preguntarle al seguidor del Getafe que llegó 15 minutos tarde por el 'fucking London traffic' y ver al llegar a su asiento que el partido aún no había comenzado.

Ya ves que cosas.

Supporters from both clubs had met on the Toledo Bridge and made their way to the ground together. At Casa Angel, and along Melancholic's Way, fans joined forces in renditions of Y Viva España, hummed each others' songs and, of course, gloried in the absent Torres.

When Steven Gerrard went off, he was given a generous ovation. Mostly, though, the home fans just made a hell of a noise. Even when Liverpool scored they did not stop chanting for their players to "put [their] balls into it". When Atlético fought back, in the second half, the noise was deafening, the roar of "Atleeeeeeti!" showing why the Calderón is one of Europe's best places to watch football. When the equaliser went in, bedlam ensued.

The Liverpool end was quieter. The reason was simple: high in the north end of the stadium, there were empty seats. To avoid trouble with flares, as had occurred against Marseille, searches had been stepped up, though no extra time was provided. Also it appeared that fake tickets were in circulation. Some fans queued for more than 45 minutes to get in, enduring a crush as they approached the only two gates through which they could enter the ground. Atlético's fans may have proved a point; perhaps their club have not.

Traduzco rapidamente. Dice ma o meno que si hay que cachear debido a lo que pasó en el partido anterior con lo de las bengalas, pues bien, pero que se demore el inicio del partido. Que hubo avalancha de gente y tensión debido a que solo había acceso por dos puertas. Que resumiendo: la hinchada del Atleti demostró lo que tenía que demostrar pero EL CLUB NO.

EDITO: Por cierto, resalto el comentario de que "el Vicente Calderón es uno de los mejores estadios europeos para ver fútbol." Sé que lo ha escrito por mucho que le duela, y ayer lo vivió en riguroso directo.

No creo que sea ventajista ahora recordar lo que algunos decimos desde hace años, en España hay un problema con la policia y el señor Rubalcaba debería tomar nota en vez de defender de manera corporativa a sus chicos de las porras.

En España, todos los cuerpos y fuerzas de seguridad, en general, y las empresas privadas que venden eso, llevan, en la versión "moderna", confundiendo eficacia con falta de tacto, técnica profesional con sobreactuación y prevención con retención. Por lo menos.

Y que nadie se enfade. Es una opinión.

After the fans' match, we had a drink with our opponents at Red Corner which some others might remember better than me.  What none of us will forget is the 4+ hours we spent with them over lunch and in Nacho's tiny bar in the shadow of the Calderon singing Liverpool and Atleti songs and buying each other drinks before they led us to the stadium.  We experienced the crush before kick off but some of us were in the home end and left before it got hairy and made it to our seats in time. 

I'm sure there were other groups of Reds who had similar experiences.

Excellent.  The ultras sang for the 90 minutes but what was as impressive was how the whole stadium joined in for the main songs and for he shouts of "Atleeeti".  Quite a lot of swearing at your own players though, particularly when they failed move the ball forward quickly after one of our attacks broke down.  Leo Franco got some serious stick."

Y yo me pregunto ¿Han estado estos de la UEFA en algún partido en Moscú? Vamos, digo.
