Yo les he mandado esto:
To whom it may concern,
I’m writing to express my disappointment with
the whole UEFA and complain about the 3-match ban imposed on Atletico de Madrid’s
home ground (the Vicente Calderon) by your organization.
I find the ruling is excessive
in every way, even more so when it’s not taking into consideration all
the facts of what happened at the
game between Atletico and Olympic Marseille.
As clearly stated by the UEFA
representative at the game, the match was handled in a good manner by Atletico’s
staff and UEFA marshals and the only incident was between the Marseille
supporters and the Spanish Police when the supporters refused to put down a
flag with racist symbols, which is against UEFA’s policy.
Imposing a stadium ban for this kind of
incident is ridiculous especially when the people to blame for it are the
opposition supporters. It would have been a different story if the incidents
had happened with Atletico’s supporters but you can’t make a Club responsible
for the actions of another club’s supporters.
This ban has only come after Olympic
Marseille’s complaint (again, the UEFA match report didn’t find the incidents worth
of a ban) and without taking into consideration all the other parties involved or
the consequences of such a ban with a week to go for the next UEFA Champions
League game at the Calderon with thousands of fans from both Atletico and
Liverpool having organized the travelling and ticketing for the game.
I’d like to emphasize the exaggerated decision
made by a organization that is meant to look after the football clubs and the
fans and fight against violence and racism but that in this particular case is
clearly blaming the innocent party for trying to enforce these very same
policies.
Disgusted regards.
